IR5000 not show icon setup network

I have Canon IR5000(dn). I can print documents from PC by pararell port.
I want print document from PC by network but It's not show icon for setup network in system. I change new network card already but it's not working. Please help me.

a dn sould already have a N boot rom you might want to check that also check that ps/pcl in service mode has a number beside it... if not reload system software .you might want to do that anyway the wa it sounds to me...

i have the same problem with IR5000(s). i can browse the machine trough internet explorer (http) by entering the machine IP address and access mailbox, monitor print job etc, but i can't set it as a printer via LAN. Also when i instal scan gear, it doesn't connet to my machine with the same IP address...
so until now i just use LPT port for printing directly from my pc

I have had a similar problem with a iR5000, check the the network speed setting for the nic card, if it is set to auto negotiate change to a specific speed "ie" 100mbs-10mbs. This fixed the printing and scanning issue I was having. Hope this helps.
