IR Adv c2225 jam code 105

Hi Guys, IR adv c2225 keeps jamming on all trays including bypass and gives jam code 105. Code indicates reg sensor. Can anyone suggest the best way forward. I am not too familiar with machine. Is there a way to test operation of sensor quickly. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for responding JPIEK. Cleaned reg sensor but that did not solve the problem. Help!! Anymore suggestions are welcomed.

I had to replace that sensor once for jamming there. It is hard to find as it comes on an assembly. I got the part number from someone who had same issue off the canon website. That was two years ago. I used the manual instructions to put it in.

I changed the registration assembly unit ( FM3 8117 020) and all is well now. Special thanks to Jpiek and dan7777 for their assistance.

I think he was correct. I had to replace one. Hard to find part but he showed it. A little bit of a pain. If you have manual follow instructions.
