    Canon IR2535 Skew issue

    Hi all,

I visited this machine earlier, initial fault was jamming which i've fixed but i'm getting a strange skewing issue.

To start with, printing counter list A4R, the whole image was shifted to the right, to the point that half of what should have been on the page was missing off the edge. I've now got it to the point where it is only just off the edge of the paper.

The paper is definitely leaving the feed unit straight so between coming out of the feed unit and coming out of the fusing exit, the paper is slowing or skewing somehow.

    Anybody had anything similar?

    Thanks.

open the big right hand door and look below at the bottom of the door .. there's an assembly there called the right lower inner door assembly .. there should be a white hook with a spring on it .. sometimes the spring will fall off or the hook will snap off causing uneven pressure on the rollers which causes the paper to skew

The paper was coming out of the feed unit and past the drum, completely straight.

Strangely enough, i visited the machine again this week and the skew issue had resolved itself..
