Ir 3220i error code 000019-0001

Hi all ! my name is sidney i am a self employed copier/computer tech from Noosa in Queensland Australia i used to fix a lot of copiers before they became reliable but know i fix 90% computers as they break down more often these days Anyway i have a customer with a canon Ir 3220i that has a error code 000019-0001. Reading the forums for other posts my guess is its the waste toner bottle full would this be correct? and if so after cleaning the bottle out is their a reset code procedure to do? and if so what would that be? i may be totally on the wrong track but i am keen to help out my customer Regards, Sid

just a question? Is Canon the machines you work On as a tech? I dont know, the service mode is tricky to get into.

I have worked on most brands of machines since 1983 I started my own business in 2000 fixing most brands of copiers/printers/fax & Pcs mainly on the last 3 years i have been focused on pcs but still sell kyocera mita copiers and have the service manuals for these. all i am is asking for is a little help. regards sid

Empty the waste toner container...clean the bottle paying close attention to the two eyelets at the mouth of the bottle.
90% of customers empty the toner from the bottle...the cups stay full of toner and the machine goes right back into the error code.
Replace the container in the machine...ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS..2 AND 8 TOGETHER THEN ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AGAIN to enter service mode.
COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR>ERR cycle power to the machine and you're all done.
And a word of advice?
I work out of Toowoomba and for out of town customers we supply/sell them 3 WT bottles...tell them to call when they're on their last wt container...it'll save time and money on pissy MTWT service calls.
