    iR ADV 4500i unable to send to email

    Hi all,

    Have a customer's iR-ADV 4535i getting stuck when sending to email. After the document is scanned the queue says its sending for about 10 minutes before trying to resend for another 10mins but it doesn't leave the machine so we have no error codes, and trying to cancel the job doesn't work 95% of the time.

    Have been in contact with their IT and they have confirmed all SMTP and network settings are correct, both the RUI and machine UI say connection to server is successful.
    The firmware is on the latest version and we can ping & print to the machine without problems.

    If anyone has any info to get the scanning working it would be greatly appreciated.

    are you sure DNS settings are correct? Scan to WHAT email? VIA .. SMB? have you read the forums on scan to email probs on SMB1?

    try that.

      if you check the log, which error you see #xxx?
      is it an internal or external SMTP server (Exchange)?

        Have you tried with the COPIER-FUNCTION-CLEAR-MMI in Service Mode?

        Try with that.

          What are the email settings you are using....smtp-is it gmail/gsuite, office365, other? What port do you have it set at? Is it a simple relay IT setup? The time you mentioned is what is disturbing, I think luis1984bol suggestion might be your fix.

              Make sure you're STMP server is running the latest version of software that it can. At lot of the newer canon machines force TLS 1.2 encryption, if your mail server can't talk TLS1.2 you are kind of SOL.

              Also OpenBSD has some TLS bugs atm making TLS1.2 auth from canon machines just crash the SSL library on the server, so that's a thing too if you happen to be running that OS.
