Canon 2020 paper jams in tray 3 and 4

Have a canon 2020 with 4 paper trays and bypass tray. Tray 1 and 2 plus the bypass tray are working a ok. Tray 3 and 4 will give you an instant jam. Found that the stepper motor is not getting any power. Changed the stepper motor and the feed control board same issue. Have the service manual but cannot find the logics to tell me where the power or what voltage controls the stepper motor.The ribbon cable between the two rear feed control boards where changed by another tech. I would be very grateful for any help anyone can give. The feed control board that feeds the stepper motor is attached (green in color) to the rear of tray 3. thanks
