    Re: initialization failure

What is the solution? To find a part that causes problems ofcourse.

Boot System Error Diagnosis Tool --------Turn ON the Main Power Supply Switch while pressing the Control Panel Power SupplySwitch.

This tool automatically checks the Control Panel, Main Controller PCB 1, All-night PowerSupply, and Non-all-night Power Supply, and notifies the result by the number of light-out andblinking interval of the lamp on the Control Panel. This tool is installed in the ROM of Main Controller PCB 1.

Controller System Error Diagnosis Tool----------Turn ON the Main Power Supply Switch while pressing the numeric keys '2' and '4'simultaneously.

This tool automatically checks the Main Controller PCB 1/2, child PCBs mounted on the MainController PCB 1/2, and HDD, and display the result on the Control Panel. This tool is installed in HDD.Therefore, this tool cannot be used when an error occurred in HDD or HDD cannot beaccessed.

Your talking about an optional flash disk?

Where are there instructions for this and/or hd replacement?

I was reading this unit came with a 250 gb drive...

Does the hard drive need to be preformatted in any way?

The flash disk is a small PCB for the mn controller, you can order it only from Canon, then install the system.

So, to get to the hard drive, its behind the PCB board I was told.

How much is the Flash Disk roughly ?

For the hard drive, doe sit have to be formatted in a certain way?

                    Thanks for responding.

Could you give me some more details about what's involved changing the hard drive and/or flash drive?

Does the hard drive have to be preformatted a certain way like exfat or does the copier format the hard drive?

                      Canon says try flashing firmware...

O.K. where could we get that and what is the process?
