    IRC 5185

I have 2 5185s that the customers are having problems printing to one has an external Ecopy the other don't have Ecopy. They both have H1 Image Passes mounted to the machine, I flash both the image passes and I am now able to pull a Config page from both machines but when the customer try to print they are getting an Error message on there screen. I spoke to the guy in the IT dept and he said the the Ecopy has to be at V4.0 or better and the version on that Ecopy is at 3.1. However if i by pass the scan station software I am able to get out to the internet with no problems, the copier works just fine. Anyone seen this issue before and can offer me some help please thanks. P.S I flashed both I mage Passes with both 1.2 and 2.0

    Thank you in advance

Sounds like your E copy needs to be V4.0 or better.
Is the glass half full or half empty? I say neither. The glass is obviously full, full of potential. The potential to hold more water or the potential to quench a thirst. Life is all about how you see it.

      Thanks

The reason I asked is at one point the customer was able to print to that machine with no problem with the same setup. Was trying to see what may have changed to upset the flow

If you have the eCopy SSOP installtion/set-up guide there is information on opening a port on the RIP that will allow flowthru traffic. You will need run set-up on the RIP , go to IP Port set up.

        Network>protocol>TCP/IP>security>IP port set-up
        Yes
        other ports>specify ports
Add the port as described in the SSOP installion guide, save and reboot.
I hope that does it, I'm not a eCopy expert by any means, But that should be checked.

I'm not real familiar wirth this end of things, but I understand there is a patch for the H1 v.2 in that corrects a problem where the connection between the embedded eCopy and a client is lost. Afraid thats all I know about that.

              Answer

I found out that there was a problem with the network, after flashing the Image Pass IT was able to access the machine and the Image Pass from there desktop. So they are working on solving that issue as we speak also found out that it had nothing to do with the version of the software on the Ecopy. Thanks you guys for all your help and pointing me in the right direction.
