We have a ir 550 in clients office that keeps takes out the hard drive, we have installed 3 print boards so far in 6 months, latest lasted 1 month. On last replacement we also replaced the MFC pcb in hopes that the issue was MFC board. All print boards were tested working prior to install. When failed print boards are returned hard drive is replaced, software reloaded. and working great. Customer has no issues with connected printers in office. 550 is on a switch by itself. Failed print boards always have same problem they will go into.... please wait.... mode and will not let you activate any menu item. Any suggestions ,Thanks a ton

Found the problem with a power monitor. Dedicated 20amp line in office had a bad neutral connection. Customer had electrical problem fixed. -
its sound like electrical problem in your customer connections..
check your connection with LPT1 or RG45.. if lpt1 change it with LAN (RG45)..
