    [Jamming] IR-ADV 6255

    Dear Friends,

Please assist me on below issue .

one of my customer has 3 IR ADV 6255 mfd and one machine is giving intermediate paper jam . This same machine is working perfectly fine with 80 gsm A4 paper and the issues have been identified on 100 gsm coated paper.

The same media ( 100 gsm coated ) is perfectly working with other two machines . The jam and error reports says 00 0108 jam error and as per the manual its pointed to DUPLEX MERGING SENSOR delay .

My team tried to cleaned the sensor and swapped it from another working machine . as still the problem persist .

Kindly advise the way forward and help us to come over from this issue

    Thanks

What tray? You cannot run coated paper from the decks or cassettes on this machine...try to register coated paper in a tray....ok is grayed out. Tell customer to use machine according to specs.....only source for coated is bypass. And YOU CANNOT AUTO DUPLEX COATED on this machine. If they are registering as non coated, its incorrect. Educate your customer

Print the 3rd and 4th cassette in the A4R direction.

The 0108 jams seems to be only from the left deck. I would first look at the deflector that in under the fixing/feeder assembly. If you slide this out and look underneath, you will see it in the center. It has mylar sheets that could be damaged or the deflector is stuck. You are lucky to have 2 other machines to swaps parts as the left deck pickup unit may need replacing.
