When I print in my c5035, all the colors print half faded images. This makes the printing half pale half deep. I have done auto mismatch color, swap the drum unit causing the problem but still happening. I have serviced the hopper unit for black, yellow and blue but it comes back after few prints. Any help will be appreciated.

Check those little "star" gears on the back of your developer units. Those have been known to crack and slip. -

Re: Faded half printing
A stop test means to open a door during the copy process to force a jam. Then you can look at each unit. If the image is on the drum OK it's a transfer issue. If the issue isn't OK on the drum it means either laser or drum or developer. It's there's a transfer belt involved you can also use that as a clue.
Phil I know you're hard on techs, I get it. But the average yearly salary in Ghana is $2,200. It's a little rough to expect the same training and resources get to every part of the globe.Comment

Re: Faded half printing
I'd run multiple copies of PG5 on each color, since it fades after a first good print. Oh, and I'd do the PG5 on A3...JohanComment

Re: Faded half printing
Sorry guys,i 've come across this thread just now;i hope the issue is being solved by now.
If not,i would suggest to replace the 2 RAMS on MNcont 2 pcb at the same time.
One of the RAMS is probably defective such that the image processing is only being done halfway.
Good luck.Comment

Re: Faded half printing
In fact there is only one dimm assy(2go or 1.5go).The part no is FM4-0837.
Check your service manual to see how to take out this board from the machine. It goes through a slot on the left hand side of the machine.Comment
