    [Misc] Iradvc5535 + inner finisher H1 and 2/4 punch assy B1

    Hi,

A new machine already set up by Canon was delivered to a client, Fin H1 already installed but Punch assy B1 arrived in a box to be installed on site. The host machine works perfectly with the fin H1 installed, however, when installing the punch assy B1, everything sits fine, but it says close the finisher, as if the machine does not detect the home position of the finisher against the punch assy. If the punch assy is taken out and the finisher closes then the machine knows its closed.

How does the machine know when the finisher is closed against the punch assy? There doesnt seem to be any sensors etc on the punch to detect the finisher closing against it. I have contacted Canon UK and Canon Ireland but nobody has seemed to have seen a punch assy on this machine.

Has anyone installed one of these, is there a sensor somewhere? Cant see anything on the parts catalogue, SM or installation guide.

    tks

sounds like the incorrect 'docking' plate is installed.

Hi Phil, is that the docking plate on the punch assy that the finisher locks into? There was no other docking plate in the box and nothing in the installation guide about changing it?

What about where finished meshes with punch.

The punch is located between unit n finisher right?

Make sure the plate to unit an plate finished to punch is correct...
There used to be several depending on what options..

Take pics of each send to UK contact

Just an update, I went back to the machine today and stripped it back down to the beginning, all the wiring was fine, no loose connections or bent pins, however, did notice that the slide assy was not on correctly (hands up to that one), 2 notches very close to each other, i had it in the wrong one but still matched up to the 4 screw holes, anyway she is working away now thank god, thanks for the help guys!

Nope, the slide assy on the finisher, not the punch
