IR3235i and scanning with windows 10

I have a customer that upgraded their computers to windows 10 and now it can't scan. I upgraded the systems software that adds SMB v2&v3. I need to know if there is a setting I have to change in the copier in case their IT people can't make it work.

If they "Upgraded their computers" have new "shared" Scan to Desktop folders been created on the new PC's?

The only computer settings are making sure their network is a Private network instead of Public, and make sure the scans folder is created on the C: drive and the copier has a valid user ID/Password to access that folder. If they have a 3rd party Virus/Firewall software, their IT people are going to need to configure it to allow scans from the copier to GET to the computer. If they have the Windows firewall, just make sure all the "File and Printer Sharing" settings on Inbound Rules are set to "Allow".

I think they know that, they are a big property management company with IT staff. They can't use SMB v1 because of the security being too low.

their IT dept couldn't figure it out either... had them fixed at one campus in 20 mins... THEN their IT Dept was able to finish the rest...
