    Adv C5045 Jam 0094

Customer has single pass ADF on AdvC5045. They accidentally let some folded sheets get pulled thru feeder and pulled them back out when it jammed. Now when you put a sheet in the feeder, light turns green, you push start and it immediately indicates a jam. Jam code is 0094. We have checked sensors, basically taken the whole feeder apart to make sure something isn't stuck in there. Cleaned all sensors, opticals and prisms. Tried R-con clear, re-entered door specs. We've gone in Service Mode checked I/O conditions, still can't find the problem. You have to reboot the copier to get it to clear. Are there any other suggestions?

    Hi.
    [Symptom]

0094 jam code is displayed. After placing the original, the code appears immediately after pressing the Start button. Recovers by turning the main power switch off and back on.
    Check the setting Service Mode > COPIER > I/O > FEEDER > P002 to P004, where P004 bit 3 = Registration Sensor detects "0: Paper present".

    [Remedy]

    • This jam occurs if the reflection plate of the Registration Sensor (PCB3) is almost peeled off or is out of position so that the guide holes are misaligned. Check the reflection plate of the sensor.
    • If there is no problem with the reflection plate of the sensor, replace the Registration Sensor (PCB3).
    • If sensor replacement does not solve the problem, check for pinched wires, etc.

In one instance, status did not change even after replacing the Registration Sensor (PCB3) and Lead Sensor 1 (PCB4). Replacing the DADF driver PCB fixed the problem.

Hope these informations will help you to fix this issue .Good luck.
