    canon IR-ADV C350-356

Is any one having issues with the ITB failing early. We are having multiple ITBs not cleaning correctly some as early as 5% of life. Have updated the firmware and changed the ITB cleaning settings in service mode as per Canon mod sheet but many are still having problems. Some do this from new. The C250/350 never caused this amount of issues but the C256/356 seems to be really bad. The ITB is now on -020 so i am thinking it may be it has something to do with this? any thoughts and i am pulling my hair out over this. Thanks

We had the same issues. Canon put out a bulletin on this! Check out TP17 199a and TP18 230a. The first is for the waste toner/registration drive assembly. The second is some settings to prevent streaking due to paper dust.

Thanks for the reply. i am in New Zealand and our bulletins come formatted like " F20603-EN-04.0" this one is about changing ITB-CL-T from 0 to 2. Are you able to upload the bulletins that you mention? as on our Tech site i can only find 1 bulletin about this issue....it doesn't work. Thanks.

Thanks for these. They are the same ones we got here in NZ. Unfortunately even after doing the firmware and settings we are still having issues ( sometimes on new machine with less than 10k ). I think Canon believe we are making it up or are doing something wrong, but all 3 techs have 15+ years of working on Canons and i have 30+ years on copiers ( god help me ), so i don't think its us. if you have any ideas i am open to anything as our sales lady just sold 15 into one site ( in my patch ).....again thanks for your reply, also, WTF is 'windshield time'

You've done the firmware and settings, but have you changed out the registration drive assemblies? Changing the settings and firmware hasnt done anything for me either, but that registration drive has helped! Windshield time - when you are just driving & staring at the windshield. Drove 400 miles Wednesday. lol

cool, will have a look at the registration drive assemblies, i don't think we have changed any ( will need to check with the boys ). 400 miles, holy cow, luckly the longest i have is about 180Km ( 111m)
