[Misc] Imagepress C1+ and the door that was too small

    Hi All,
If we were to believe there are no dumb questions, I'm about to come pretty darn close. I recently acquired a Canon Imagepress C1+ in excellent condition with only 30K impressions from a tech recycling non-profit org in town. There are some noticeable dents and scratches on the rear side panels but everything is still fully functional (their techs are generally pretty thorough) and we can't find any damaged or loose parts. This particular organization is a volume shop so they price everything to move fast so I acquired this C1+ for $400.
Forward to delivery day, I'm planning to run it out of my home shop until I do a move to a dedicated space in January. Low and behold - I don't make the connection between my 32" wide front door and the machine's dimensions (clearly stated on the product brochure specification page that I had been reading over and over for the last week) of 42" x 34" x 36". I had figured out the electricity and power issues and created an appropriately sized area to safely operate it but totally missed that it won't fit in the door.
I want to keep the machine so planning to have it redelivered to a storage unit in my neighborhood and will just wait until I have an appropriate space to use it in the new year. So now comes the potentially dumb question... During the failed delivery to my residence, the delivery guy suggested taking some of the machine apart until it was small enough to fit through the door. I think I see the logic because we only needed another couple inches to get it through the doorway. I ended up sending the delivery guys back with my press to regroup on a new plan. But to the question about disassembling some of the press to fit it through the door, that's a definite NO, right? After digging through the manuals and technical schematics, I could not see any piece of the machine that conveniently snapped off and could easily be snapped back on a minute later. It's just not possible, right? I could be missing something and I know that I'm really reaching at straws to still be considering this idea but opening that question to the wider cumulative knowledge of the forum to confirm this is a hard NO.
    Thanks!!

hello you would have sent photos in the publication to advise you, removing some parts of the machine you can reduce the size so that the printer enters through the door, for example the Decurler or main door, etc.

The Hopper extends on this front part of printer , can not be removed.

This printer > front to back width measurement will not fit in your opening.
