canon IRC3200 error

has anyone seen this problem:

installed new black drum and color drums

transfer looks good too.

i try to do the full auto gradiation process and im getting error 751-1003
but when i do the quick auto gradiation it works ok
error code is not in the service manual unfortunatly

please let me know if anyone has come accross this issue

i never seen this problem before ... the only error code listed on my list is E750 - A ROM designed or a different model is inserted (IR2100)..

Suspect a faulty Memory PCB (FG3-2345-000).Not too much on the knowledge base about this code.There are only a couple of references to this code and none of them have your sub code.Also check the toner supply and make sure the drum is actually turning.

Pretty sure that the code is unrelated to the drum itself....anything to do with image formation usually has a code range of E020-E025 and a subcode pointing to the drum in question.

751-1003

E751 can be displayed when a connection error of the drum unit or toner cartridge occurs. The following are the detail of each sub code. You may find it helpful to refer to them when servicing. The suffix "x" of each sub code shows color of the affected drum unit or toner cartridge. (1=Y, 2=M, 3=C, and 4=k)
- 000x: Drum unit connection error (on printer side)
- 100x: Toner cartridge connection error (on printer side)
- 010x: Drum unit memory writing error
- 110x: Toner cartridge memory writing error
- 020x: Drum unit memory data error
- 120x: Toner cartridge memory data error
- 030x: Drum unit memory writing error (The number of reties exceeds the specified value.)
- 130x: Toner cartridge memory writing error (The number of reties exceeds the specified value.)

Though it can be memory related, it looks like a E751-1003 is Toner cartridge connection error (on printer side) Check the cyan drum or the cyan toner cartridge for now. Keep us posted when you try some of the details above.

E-7XX are usually communication/connection errors...machine will autograd with patches but not through reader..hmmm... re-seat all CCD,interface board,all connectors associated with reader as a start and do a ccd adjust,clean mirrors...etc

Symptom
I had a IRC3200 copier with error code E751-1304 (this error code is not on the servicemanual or NAVI

Cause
This error comes up when the machine is doing Autogradation adjustment or when when you try to photocopy or print.

Action
Replace DC controller PCB and Yellow Laser unit

000x The connection of the drum unit (at the printer side) is faulty.
100x The connection of the toner container (at the printer side) is faulty.
010x Built-in memory writing error in the drum unit. 110x Built-in memory writing error in the toner container.
020x Built-in memory data error in the drum unit.
120x Built-in memory data error in the toner container.
030x Built in memory writing error in the drum unit (When the number of retry exceeds the specific value).
130x Built in memory writing error in the toner container (When the number of retry exceeds the specific value).
