Re: Canon IRC 5235 E020-00081 error

      [Symptom]

The machine consistently boots up to E020-0081.
      Service mode level 2 COPIER > DISPLAY > DENS > P-LED-DA is "0".
The Patch Sensor Shutter was removed for testing purposes and the SSW was reloaded. PG10 test print outputs normally.
Several components were replaced to try and resolve this issue including; Patch Sensor Assembly, DC Controller, and Main Controller 2.
The wiring from the Patch Sensor Assembly (J5046) to the Paper Feed Driver PCB (J207) was checked thoroughly with no fault found.
      • E020-0081: Error in ITB background light intensity (At ITB background correction, average value of the detected light intensity is 120 or less. When it occurs twice in a row, error is displayed.)

      [Remedy]

In this case, replacing the Paper Feed Driver PCB (FM3-7932), resolved the error.

Thank You! Giogi, have had many over the years that what is causing a problem is not in any way shape or form related to the issue at hand. Thank you for your response, going tomorrow. Will let you know.
