    iR7105 E197 codes

Have a 7105 with 1 1/2 mill on it. Throws E197 codes left and right until I come in and reset in service mode. Machine fine again until next time (maybe weeks before repetes) anyone else ad probs like this? Error has to do with communication with the laser control IC canon says to replace laser unit or video card. ....just thought I'd ask before I stick in high dollar parts!!!!!

iR3220 dumping waste toner onto trans belt

Anyone seen a 3220 dump w. toner onto the trans belt and then dumping on the rest of the machine? When I pull the trans belt out of the machine a bulk amount of w. toner is sitting on the metal rail in front of the w. toner screw assy. Vaccum it up and it lasts a week and repetes with cutomers long runs.
I have replaced the screw assy with all new parts. New mylar, screw, all gears and base.
Have check all gears on both the screw assy and trans unit ---ALL are OK---
    Thanks for any Help

Copierfixer I would look at the registration bias screw. see if it is touching the screw that holds the plastic bushing to the reg guide. It is located on the back side of the reg ass'y next to the reg clutch. Also check the fixing bias, you can disconnect that and tuck it away to see if it goes away. If either of these are not working properly you can get electrical noise that interferes with the machine and can cause a E-197.
Is the glass half full or half empty? I say neither. The glass is obviously full, full of potential. The potential to hold more water or the potential to quench a thirst. Life is all about how you see it.

Check that the Fixing Assy. bushings are not in the wrong position. I have witnessed this. Also make sure your collar in the rear of the Upper Roller is not broken/missing. I actually have one that was throwing the same error about a week ago, but has not returned yet. However, I did rebuild the Fixing Assy. and found a cracked collar. This machine also has another issue which requires replacement of the DC Cont., so I will let you know if the error resurfaces.
The glass maybe half full, but less is more...

We had the e197 error codes on two of our machines in the same location. We tried everything you mentioned except the laser assy. The problem would seem to go away for a while with each part but then it returned. We are going to try the laser assy next. Just so you know what not to try we replaced Main Controller , DC Controller, Laser driver, Video cable, Wiring harness.
