    iPF825 Plotter+ M40 Scanner connectivity issue

Im having some trouble with the small computer that came with the iPF825 + M40 combo. Had to rebuild the computer and reinstalled windows 10, and MFP drivers and reconnected everything, but now when the MFP4 program starts is gets hung on "Connect to compatible printer" and shows a connecting image at the top, but it never connects.

I have both the plotter and the scanner connected to the computer via USB (i have tried different ports and cables and have ruled out that), and the plotter is connected via ethernet cable to our switch router and it has a manual IP assigned.

Any ideas how to make the MFP4 scanning software find the scanner/printer?

is the plotter set as the default printer? also when you install the scanner driver, only plug it in when it tells you to or else it wont detect the scanner. you should also have gotten a usb stick with a backup of the computer that you can restore incase of hdd failiure

WOW, it really was as simple as changing the default printer.... Cant believe I didn't think about that, but hey thanks for the easy fix!
