I have 5xiR105+ that I'm currently responsible for servicing and at various times they develop a drum line which looks to be a leaking drum blade.
As part of the service I remove the AP kit...replace the blade..polish the drum...vacuum lumpy toner from the mag roller and surrounds...bed the blade...replace into the machines.
Now...my success rate has been pretty reasonable...til today.
I had 3 machines go down with drum lines at once.
One machine responded to the above service like a trooper but the other two have given me nightmares.
The marks LOOK like a leaking blade...the mark left on the drum polishes out well.....so all should be fine...but everything I've tried to date has failed.
Replacing the AP kit seems to do the trick...but $$$$....work won't be too thrilled if i put a new AP kit in everytime I can't nail a drum line.
Ideas?
