    imagerunner "print start page" setting

I am trying to reset an ir400s so that when it powers up it does NOT print the start page.

I believe several Imagerunners and other business/industrial Canon copier/printers are setup the same way.

I entered service mode (additional functions - 2&8 - additional functions) but could not find this setting.

It is an ir400s in which I installed printer, fax & scsi scanner boards. All work perfectly. It has 4 cassette trays, an additional 2500 bin paper supply and a C1 finisher with stapler. There are no other problems which I can not fix, and the machine works great!

But, I can't reset the start page. The customer wants to go "green" and doesn't want to waste this paper.

I've reviewed my old notes and studied the service manuals. I can not figure out how to do this. It is the same way to set the "enable printed queue" setting is set to "yes". I just can't remember how to do it.

    Can anyone assist me?

I'd be glad to help anyone else with anything I can do, but I am unable to figure this one out.

You cannot enter service mode. You must go to 'system' tab and go into printer setting>under the server setup>print start page :No.This will solve your problem

      Peter's correct.
You need to treat the rip differently to other iR's....it's the bastard cousin of a Fiery after all.

          3 buttons on panel.
          copy-fax-print

press the print option-reboot from panel (screen options) then enter set up while machine boots.
