    imagePRESS 810 and PVC media.

    Good evening !

I am having problems transferring color on a PVC support of the YUPO brand. (or JUPO).
Despite the customization, the colorimetric rendering is faded.

Do you have experiences on this type of support?

    Thank you.

are you SURE that media is made for your unit?

what is the gsm of the media?

does it have a gloss finish?

what setting in the unit are you using ?

check the media specs in your User/Service manual

you haven't given us and information we can use to help you with your problem

    Paper Weight
Standard 14 lb. Bond to 110 lb. Cover
Optional 14 lb. Bond to 130 lb. Cove
it mentions NO strange media types...

sounds like it might not work on that unit

      C800

      Special Media Support

      IMPORTANT
For high-quality copies and printouts, use paper that is recommended for this machine.
Using other types of paper may cause problems such as paper jams.
If you use the type of paper that is not recommended for this machine, contact your local authorized Canon dealer.

You can use various types of paper for this machine, however, you may not be able to get the sufficient image quality and paper feeding depending on the paper characteristics (stiffness, thickness, air permeability, smoothness, moisture absorbency, etc.). For the paper thickness, please use plain paper whose thickness is 360 micrometer or less as a reference.

Hello on one occasion a client of a Canon imagepress c1 printer, had a problem with pvc paper, the quality of the printing was blurred and of poor quality, it seemed as if it were a transfer failure or secondary transfer. We did the test with Canon tick paper for laser printer and the printing went well with good quality and brightness.
we concluded that the pvc paper was synthetic and the client managed to print on a special printer for synthetic paper (pvc)

you could try printing on an hp indigo printer as the YUPO website recommends

          YUPOBlue | Yupo Synthetic Papers

YUPOBlue is not compatible for use with inkjet or laser printers.

Can YUPO be used in conventional office equipment?

NO. YUPO is not suitable for use in copy machines, fax machines or laser printers due to the high temperatures generated by those types of equipment.
