Startup Problem C5035i IR Advance

Loading line doesn't animate just appears as a 1/4 way loading line and freezes there. Printer carries on in the background with no abnormal sounds, but reboots itself and screen appears again with 1/4 loaded line and stays like that.
Don't know where to start, any help would be very much appreciated, thank you.

Sound like a hard drive problem. Replace and reload system software or try one from a working machine first.

Yep. Start with system software and then do a HDD with system software.

It will be hdd
Try reload system software using hdd format mode
If no good replace hdd must be oem Canon for this series machine and reload system software
If trying hdd from other machines must be irac50xx series

If not sure how to reload a hard drive you can get one at Hytec of try Ebay.

Reloaded its own HD with the software, giving an error now of E602-4000.
Replace Main Controller Board 1 and 2 from a working machine and its still giving the same error E602-4000.

why didn't you replace the HDD instead of the org HDD?


and then you throw boards at it without first correcting the problem?

The hard drive in this machine worked reloaded in another machine, so deducted it could be the boards. Going to try another hard drive on Monday.

That is a Hdd error if swapping from another machine MUST be a irac50xx series no other as said before try reloading system software with sst in format hdd

Tried an exact same working hard drive from exactly the same machine, still getting a E602-4000 error, any ideas very much appreciated

Format the HDD then re-install system software. If not successful, replace the HDD. Could try main con clear first(run systems diagnostics first..main con, dcon,ROM check)

Reformatted a new hard drive, E602 error is now clear, machine is loading software and now displaying a new error code E000246-0002
