IR C7055 no PG-5 blank sheet

Arrived at this machine to troubleshoot a color alignment issue. It had a patch sensor out of range error and a patch sensor fail error.
Now it won't print black at all.
I am not getting a K image from PG-5. I have density set to default 128. Other colors appear fine.
I can hear the sensor shutter click. I have manually cleaned the lenses.
Could a bad patch sensor throw off the calibration so as not to print at all?

    How to proceed?

      Hey Thad
What error code are you having on the machine panel
Are the CMY colors printing normally?
Is the black imaging assembly properly installed, and engaging properly when the MFP is printing?
For the bad patch sensor if it's bad the MFP will show an error code unless you tried to calibrate it than a bad reading will be saved.
So i suggest to manually enter the settings under ADJUST
      & suspect any abnormal setup
Hope you will find the main problem
