There's probably a way to do it on everybodys machine. the "secret codes" can be very usefull. as for as it being illegal i don't know for sure, I don't thing so but it could bring on a law suit. I don't mind if little places have the secret codes but in the wrong hands ( big dealers and wholesalers) it could be bad. most little dealers are selling and renting machines that will go to scrap when they are thru. when I buy used machine I will not pay much more for a low count machine than one with 2 to 300 k because you will probably install the same parts before sending it out as it usualy has been in the field for at least 3 yrs. at least we do. The way things are now we don't care to sell a machine if we are not getting a service contract on it. the profit is not there. we rather rent on cost per copy plan overall. haveing the secret codes helps with board replacement and copy counts. I give the customers what he wants. good copies at a reasonable cost. if I don't he will go elsewhere. to each his on about rolling back meters. a lot more could be said butComment
