IR ADV 4051 print quality issue

Hi all,

just bought a few of this model and found most of them have this issue.
so far I've just serviced the fixing unit. any ideas?

Hi,
Interchange a working dev unit with that of the problem machine and see what you get.

Try a drum yet? If that white mark is repeating from lead to trail edge it could be the drum. If you roll the sample page up and align the white marks you will know the size of the component with the mark.

Try a stop test before immediately before the fixing unit to see if you see it the same. If not check the situation of the fixing unit. If not, carefully clean every one of the laser lenses and the scanner mirrors.

Did you clean fuser or replace with new.
Most likely drum or fuser film assy

Hi, tried changing the whole unit. the white mark doesn't seem to be repeating. even on PG5 on A3

Did you clean fuser or replace with new.

replaced with "cleaned fuser" from another unit.
the fixing unit of this model is tougher to re-manufacture compared to other models.

will be doing this, quite busy with the other customers so can't really focus on this model.

found on the service manual about check the drive assembly, so might be checking that one out later

Either dev, drum or transfer roll. Realize..this a business copier, not graphics.
