iR Adv 5030i Error E0027

Hi All,
The copier continues to display the E0027 error. i have swapped out the development unit it suggest had the fault E0027-400, but then just swaps to another E0027 error. E0027-100.
Then displayed the E0027-300 error.
Should I just swap out all the developing units and go from there. the client bought the copier themselves and doesnt really have the money to by all the development units only to find its the drum drive or the control PCB.

Are there any other solutions or fault finding tips to narrow the search for the issue?

First step is to try new dev units, then FM4-8390 DRUM DEVELOPING DRIVE ASSEMBLY

did you run install/adjust on the dev units?

what are the life counts on the dev units?

I think the dev units are not the culprit. I have never seen all the devs cause error codes at the same time even on high use cases. I would be looking at the pbc that controls their signal, I can't recall if it is the Drum driver pcb offhand as it has been years since I seen a first gen model but that sounds familiar.

I could see one dev causing a error, but not 3 or 4 of them. Has to be something further back along the chain.

The prop on the dev would strip on older units. Sometimes the coupling on the machine side has issues..replaced a few. Also on the mentioned drive assembly, the nylon bushing gets oblong and the gears don't mesh

usually with this error code especially if its showing multiple sub codes is to take out the whole drum/dev process unit and ITB unit. look inside towards the back you will see the 4 color hopper units. check the area where the toner comes out into the dev. check to see if the plastic mylar seal has peeled away and gone back up into the hole and locked up the supply auger. you will need to carefully remove that plastic seal in one piece without breaking it. do that for the 4 colors
