Canon adv c5035i - e000020-0391

Hi Guys,

I am having issue with a canon adv c5035i displaying an e000020-0391 error. That i be leave the error is linked to the cyan hopper assembly.

Little back story:

User fitted fitted an aftermarket Cyan after one fitted ran out then the unit then kept displaying no toner detected. Fitted old unit and got the same error, so has been used as black and white.

When i swapped the toner and refit it you can hear a motor sound from the Cyan area, just link an rotating sound. Its like what ever is broken is trying to pull/attacted or what ever to the cartridge.

Ordered genuine Cyan and fitted but now the unit displays e000020-0391 but this maybe to toner leakage. Did a restart and did a main unit clean and display this error with out without the Cyan toner fitted.

apart from this issue the unit has been running fine. I have yet to do a tare down of the unit to check whats going on.

piece of old cartridge blocking toner flow?, vacuum it out

I doubt its the toner bottle something has broken, the developer gear can break FC8-4338-000.
also check the toner feed screw

Checked out the Canon yesterday and i'm guessing the cyan hopper is Knackered.

I checked the developer gear and that looks fine.

Can you confirm the part number is FM4-9657-000

I am guessing its an whole unit replacement as well. Can anybody point me in the direction of a UK suppler or just someone with spares from a dead unit or reconditioned?

That part number is the 52xx series the one you want is FM3-5990-000 or FM3-5990-010

Can I ask how far do I need to go to remove the hopper? As it looks like it goes down under the shelf below.

Not that i could see but the ring that holds/locks the toner is broken. So when a toner is fitted the mech is trying to do it job but it cant locate the toner and its not held it the correct place.
