I have a customer that needs a specific job spot on front to back. This copier only has about 200K on it. The first page is spot on front to back. Then throughout the 20 page document (12x19 glossy), the crop marks misalign left to right and operator to non-operator at varying amounts anywhere from 3/10 mm to 6/10 mm and even come back spot on again. Any thoughts?

if i remember, if you go into service mode, you have the registration, which you can adjust, cant remember exactly where it is, prob under the adjust tab, but write down the values before adjusting anything incase it goes pear shaped! Did it once , it was out by about 4 mm, but adjusted it and was almost spot on -

Re: imagePRESS C8000/C10000 registration moving front to back
The tolerance is 0.5 mm, per side, so up to 1.0 millimeter is allowed as you look through the paper.
With that said, performing a good "image setup" will usually see the this series of machine performing far better that 1.0. I usually see 0.25 mm, on most media.
Glossy is the most tricky, and if your registration is out of tolerance, you should consider replacing the 3 cross rollers at the left-edge registration assy. Also, make sure the metal parts are clean. Static build up as a result of rub-off from coated media can mess with registration.
Also, also, check if the top lid on the cross-rollers is straight. IF someone has closed the process unit with that lid up, it will dent the leading edge and only 2 of 3 cross rollers will be working. It's quite soft and can be bent back to straight. Remove it from the machine to do that, if you try bending it in-situ, you will damage the hinge.Comment

I got it resolved. I had to replace the registration sensor.

Whoops again. That was the correct machine. It was the registration sensor just before the registration roller that corrected the problem
