    [Jamming] Jam code 1C35 occasionally

    Hi All,

On a Canon IR ADV C5560i III with an Inner Finisher H1, the users are getting an occasional jam with a code 1C35. It's happening with Letter, oriented LTR, not LTR-R. And it's happening with multi-page documents, not single sheets. I was told it happens about once or twice per day, and it's a moderately busy machine, maybe a few reams go through it in a day.

In the service manual it very helpfully tells me in the Inner Finisher H1 section:
Acc ID: 02, Jam Code: 1C35, Type: ERROR.
    And that's all.

I tried Google, not much of anything there.

Now I'm checking if you fine folks have any insight in to this.

    Thanks.
    Bret

Do you have upgrade the system software using the last rev 31.09?

    021C35: JamCode (Inner Finisher-H1) 1C35

    [Answer]
    Jam Type : Error avoidance

    Overview of detection

An error avoidance jam occurs when an error in the machine (excluding parts failure) was detected.

Printing operation is suspended to avoid error occurrence by error code; therefore, parts failure is not the cause of the jam.

After the jam is removed, the machine works.

If it is due to parts failure, an error code instead of the error avoidance jam is displayed on UI and printing operation is suspended. In such case, service technician should perform remedial work for the error code.

I didn't check the software version. I'll check that next time I'm in front of that machine.

Thank you for the details on that jam code.

Do you think that the latest version would handle these situations better and maybe not have this jam?

Ok the users said that they went back to using a type of paper they were using earlier (better quality) and it has not been an issue for a couple of days now. I guess that was it.
