IR105+--open close any tray and power off

Hello all, again. Has anyone ever seen an IR105+ that would power down the lcd panel if you opened and closed any paper tray? Then, opening and closing any tray would then bring the LCD back to life. Also, while disassembling to look for a short I noticed that no matter where you touched the machine the phenomena would occur! I believe now it's in the wiring in the back that leads to the monitor and I'm on my way to investigate that now, but figured I'd see if anyone had seen/fixed this issue before.

    Any help is appreciated.

Dont know if this will help but had this problem on a different canon model and it turned out to be the power supply pwb.

Best of luck - you will need it!

Thanks for the quick response! Think I found it in a harness that had a curly-cued wire in it. Straightened it out and it seemed to solve it. Now to cut and solder to make sure.
