I am getting e100 on a ir8500....i change the laser and bd board, no luck.
if any of you guys can help me with this, i will be appriciated. tks

Just a thought may sound silly but is the cover on the front? the one that covers the coroan this activates the laser shutter.any sub codes?

I go with the laser shuttor connected with the front cover ,secondly check the IP board.

I believe the door interlock activates the laser shutter on the 8500 not the corona cover. But the same applies. I would take a good look at the interlock mechanism and see if it is loose. You should be able to see the bar that pushes the shutter. It runs along the front side of the scanner cavity and I believe it is white.You can see the slotted holes that the srews mount the push bar to the scanner cavity bottom. They should go all the way to the end of the slotted hole and should move freely as you open and close the door.

fix the problem

Thank you so much guys.....fix the problem as you guys said...it was the interlock arm was't sitting properly with laser shutter
