Hello to all, I am working on a Canon IRC 7270 with light black copies. I replaced the black drum and black developer, the black copies were dark after installing a new developer but after a few days the customer called back and said the black copies are back light. If you take a sky shot the copies are really light in the black. I clean the charge units but I am wondering could it be the black toner hopper. It appears as if the black toner is not reaching the developer. Has anyone replaced the Hopper assy due to this issue? Copies and prints is the same

was it NEW OEM dev unit or pull?
is it Genuine OEM toner?
did you try and vac out toner chute to dev unit?
did you check in SM the values of dev unit? bias etc
are there any error codes?
do you have the service manual? -
Re: Canon IRC 7270 Light Black copies

The solution was replace the black toner hopper.
