Canon iR6000 hard drive swap possible?

I have a general question about an iR6000 hard drive.

I have one used machine with a good hard drive but a bad drum, bad developing unit and high meter, and one used machine with a bad hard drive but a good drum and low meter.

Can I simply swap the hard drives from one iR6000 to another? Would I still need to run the SST after a swap?

I work with Konica/Minolta's, but have these Canon's in our office that I need to do something with. I've checked the price on replacement parts and for these older machines, I don't think new replacement parts are worth it -- better to make one decent used machine. I don't want to throw them away, I have multiple good finishers too. Arrrg.

    Not always require to reload

Not always require to reload. If the good hard drive has the same firmware on it then its possible. If anyone one of them is a network printer then the program or firmware must be loaded for network, also the boot rom must be updated. If all is the same you should have no problem.
