    IRAC 3525i / DX3725

    Hi

We have installed a couple of 3525III's and one DX3725 in the field. I have three 3525III's and the one DX3725 jamming in the A4 feed registering a PS22 jam. My guys have tried firmware and replacing the whole feed unit which have not helped at all. Head Office Canon here recommended tightening the the pressure springs in the unit which also hasn't helped. I have noticed that the Gen III models have a new white feed roller which is relatively smooth compared to the GEN I blue feed rollers which are quite rough. I have ordered the blue ones in to test. Anyone else have similar issues?

yes we have the same problems. Even replacing the entire FM1-B500 ( PAPER PICK-UP ASSEMBLY Cassette 1(SMALL)
    unit did not help
    Have you solved the problem?

Yes so seems to still be an ongoing issue even on the DX range. Canon here have given steps.
Cut the cable ties on the registration sensor wire.
Remove the springs from the white rollers in the registration unit.
This has worked on a few problematic machines, but not all.
What I have found after struggling with this issue for going on years now is that the registration flag sensor hits a damper sponge inside the registration unit. That sponge tends to swell and causes the flag to just ever so slightly sit in the sensor thus causing the 020b jam. I normally scrape that damper off, haven't had call backs on those particular problem machines.
