    [Misc] CLC 3220 maybe brick

    Hello,

    maybe i have brick my copymachine.
    the imagepass-c1 hdd was dead so i try to use another imagepass-c1.

    What i have done:
    disconnect imagepass-c1
    I clear the MMI in Service Mode
    IMP-CONT was still 3
    Power off printer
    Connect all C1 CABLES TO iR3220
    My profile is not working at the moment. The profile you see is not mine. Board redirects to a wrong userprofile. So you CAN´T REACH ME over the profile via SEND PRIVATE MESSAGE and even not over regular Email too

          set IMG-CONT to zero switch off, remove all cables from the fiery, does the copier work?

              fiery is disconnect.

              when i switch on the copier on the right side, it starts with warming up and initalize, when normal touch screen comes, i can only select for some seconds some functions then it freeze... no touch is then recognize. and even when finished warming up, the message still apears on screen..

                  Did you set IMG-CONT to zero (whatever that is) like skynet said?

                          1: You can swap main boards, memory, hard drive but anything listed as not service part in the parts manual cannot be swapped these are normally the pcbs that store the serial number and often have fram printed on them

                          2: Not always, you can check in service mode > display > version. if its "c" that means copier only, N or P means network.

                          3: forget firmware, if the machine has anything other than a "c" bootrom you can scrap the fiery if you get the copier working.

                              before i brick the copier i made some photos from the versions menu...
                              boot-rom says 70.01c so it seems without bootrom...

                              what can i do now? can you give me some advice?


                              unfortunately seen the the other machines are 2620 not 3220 :-( i never look on the label. can i still use the drive from this machines ?

                                  You can use the parts from the 2620 try the bootrom ram as I said earlier dont swap small boards with fram or counter printed on them, dont clone hard drives.

                                          No the 3220 has a copier bootrom try the bootrom from the 2620.
                                          Canon copiers require certain hard drives. Cloning a copier hard drive to one of the same brand and size might work but anything else might not.

                                              it seems i have good news....

                                              i switch on copier on main switch and with 1+7 for fixip..... now the copier works normally... with old parts nothing changed...

                                              how should i go further?

                                              1. how i can set up ip adress in copier?
                                              2. is the fiery necessary for printing postscript?

                                              i wish to update the machine to the latest software and firmware.. and even fix the fiery to work again.

                                                  i setup an ipadress in copier clc3220 and can connect with webfrontend Remote UI.
                                                  But printing not work... even with new installed driver...
