    Labor Cost for IPF's

    Good Morning everyone,

    Just curious what others are charging for labor to work on Canon IPF's? These things are a pain to work on & seem to be time consuming. Our company is looking to increase labor on this model in particular.

    Same labour rate across the board....what does it matter what series it is?
    IBM, Mita, Konica Minolta, Ricoh, Kyocera, HyPAS, Canon, Oce, Samsung, HP, TEO IP PBX/Unified Communications, Comptia Network+ Comptia PDI+ Certifications

      Myself....agree with your comment. I don't see how increasing the rate on this particular model will help, unless billing is looking at how much time is knocked off (not billed).

      But Upper Management does not feel the same way. So, just checking to see if this is something that other dealerships were doing to combat time spent on getting these going after customers let them sit. We have seen an increase in getting these going again due to dried ink due to the pandemic I assume.

        We charge the same labor rate as any other machine if it is not under a maintenance contract. If it is under contract, we charge a flat fee instead of the usual charge per meter click.

          You must develop yearly contracts on Product Models/Size, Monthly Usage, & Locations (travel time). Especially for these complex Large Color imagePress and IPF's.
          Networking is an additional add on.
          or u will end up loosing money.

          On non-contract Color Service 225.00 first hr/ billed on next 1/2 hr increments/ for B&W 175.00 ---Networking issues is an additional add on.
          **Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**
