    Canon dx c5735i with P2 rip

    New install. Followed install instruction for copier and rip. Copier is set to 3 to recognize rip. Can print to and see through the rui. We have a strange message on the copier screen that says " check computer name in settings/registration". If we disconnect the rip the message goes away. Tried everything we could think of along with all the clears known. Anyone seen this before.TIA

    I think you will find you will have to update system software on fiery we've had problems as fiery was made for irac55xx series

      Countermeasures for Each Message




      A computer or printer with the same name is registered in the WINS database.
      When <WINS Resolution> in <WINS Settings> is set to <On>, do not register a computer or printer with a name already listed in <Computer Name/Workgroup Name Settings> in <TCP/IP Settings>.

        When I had this, I changed the server name of the fiery and the message went away.
