Re: Canon IRC5045 grainy print quality
It would help if you could post some examples. Thanks.
What's the page count on the drum/dv?
I see that the transfer belt has a rated yield of 180K - your ITB has 210K on it. It needs to be replaced.Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime. -

Re: Canon IRC5045 grainy print quality
Hello,
There is several causes for this issue.
If issue is common on all colors:
1) It could be media issue
2) Secondary transfer roller , inner and outer
3) Itb belt
4) Developer becoming weak
5) Primary transfer roller under the itb for each color
6) It could be a Voltage board issue.
First try different media , such as glossy.
I can suggest you to adjust the secondary transfer voltage in the service mode and check if the results improve.
Also try adjusting the Primary transfer voltage for each color.
Please add some photos to be able to better work on your issue. PG tests for each color alone on halftone 128

Re: Canon IRC5045 grainy print quality
I ran a stop test with test PG 10 pattern (stripes of all colors similar to calibration mode) paper was 1/3 into the fuser unit. I pulled the ITB assembly and found the area on itb belt that is pre transfer the stripes were solid looking. The part of the image that had already transferred was incomplete transfer coming from the secondary transfer outer unit on the door. I am going back tomorrow with a new outer transfer roller and springs (Small set, one missing, if looking into the open right door on the left side of the opening where the outer secondary transfer roller is located the missing spring is located under the black frame of the transfer roller assembly) I will follow up after replacing the secondary outer transfer roller and the springs.Comment
