Canon ir c3200 changing the language
Having trouble changing the language on a canon c3200 from Jap to english . went into service mode, then to options, then scolled to config. entered US then ok pwd on/off no change. repeated no change. Is there something Im missing? please help.

This is dependant on the english language file being loaded on the HDD from the system software in the first place!!!
If the above doesn't work you will need to flash the HDD with the file and while there it is always good to put the latest firmware on the machine as well.Comment

Thanks for all your help. The copier was inadvertently changed from the English language to the Japanese language in the user's tools. Changing the language from Japanese back to English is very difficult, especially if you don't speak Japanese. Because, everything on the display is written in Japanese. Anyway, I had to get in front of another C3200 that was in the English language mode and write down the location and steps it took to get into the Common settings> Language switch> etc.. without reading the actual command. No Problemo!! once you figure out you change the language in the user's tool and not in the service mode.
