We tried reinstalling sys software...a different HDD....and as I said...every part that could possibly even remotely interfere with the machine seeing it's drums....just phoned work and asked them to inspect for a thumb blocking the shutter

I've had issues with drum unit messages...insert black drum...alot of them were ITB related...you said you replaced ITB unit...try another one(has to have good belt). Check all connections to it,contacts, connections at HVPS, process unit connectors...had a few of these and new ITB unit fixed them. Yeah machines weren't the greatest but if you put on the mods they run good. Vacuum handy for this model

A vacuum, lots of bits of spare mylar and a tube of loctite for making shields for photo-reflectors to combat E025's when you've run out of modded PCB holders/panels and a bloomin' casette heater for that insanely annoying curly paper 0107 jamming rubbish that these things throw at you at every opportunity. I loved how Canon told us "it's the paper mills y'know, they are producing paper damp at the factory"...utter tosh!

Sod energy saving, bring back top and bottom rollers I say!
