Copy and Send Icon missing after firmware update

I have a C5535 that the Hard drive crashed on, so installed new hard drive and firmware and now the COPY and SEND icons are missing. I saw where this was a similar inquiry posted years ago, but this new website isn't letting me access that thread to see the answer.

    1) Start [SERVICE MODE] in Level 2.
    2) Press [COPIER] > [Option] > [DSPLY-SW] button.
    3) Press [UI-COPY].
    4) Press either 0 (hide) or 1 (display) on control panel (the numerical value input in the field is
    displayed), and press [OK] button.
    5) Check to see that it is reflected in setting field, and restart the device.

    for SEND select [UI-SEND]

Those options aren't there, UI-Box is there but not UI-Copy or UI-Send. Also, the scan bed is acting as if it isn't there, no light or movement at power on and no green light on feeder. You can print to it, print a TEST PG10, and meter print out, so it's acting like a printer without the COPY function. This copier was working originally, then threw an E614-4001, tried reseating the SATA Flash PCB as the SM says but nothing changed then it just froze up with the startup bar 1/4 way so we put in a new hard drive and installed system software with a flash drive and tried to update the firmware through internet but still doesn't have the Copy or Send options.

          Solved by replacing Reader Controller
