one of our clients has several jams in history from print jobs sent from computers. we have replaced the sorter already and cleared the sorter memory from the host machine..


has anyone seen this before? IS IT A DRIVER ISSUE?

Here is a prior post on this site, it is an exit sensor stationary jam.

The Author mentions HP by accident but all the numbers show its a Canon, maybe not exactly your model.

There is probably a Bulletin on it and parts supplied but I am not a Canon Dealer. If it only shows in the history, has the customer complained about it ?

Have them save you the paper that caused it or if the paper is still flat try cleaning your finisher entrance rollers which should be right after the entrance sensor to the finisher.

That is all I can provide maybe someone else has more. If customer is not complaining or getting jams its not broken and not worth time spending on it. Check your jam history dates and make sure the machines date is proper.

Look at paper not moving off a sensor in time, or not getting to the sensor. Do always have firmware updated.

so today i pulled the second sorter. it refused to pass copies jamming on the third piece of paper every time . timing was perfect. still displaying a jam code1101
i updated firmware today and made sure the sorter had new entrance and exit rollers in it.' ' once removed the host machine ran flawlessly.

installed new internal finisher, working properly again without fail.
