    Can't print to Canon 7095

    Hi,

I'm so glad I found this website. I'm trying to print to our Canon 7095 copier from a computer with no results. So far, I've found the drivers and installed them on several Windows XP machines.

When I try printing, the document waits and waits and waits, and finally says 'The document failed to print'.

This has been so frustrating. Can anyone help?

Is it a network printer? Do you have a printer kit installed on the machine, you must have the network bootrom chip. First confirm this.

Can you ping the copier? If not,as Screwtape said, your machine must be a network printer. Not sure if you need a N type boot rom or just need to have the network "license" turned on to print.

Its a bootrom chip for the iR7105 series.

For most imagerunners its a license.

Screwtape & Kopyrtek have this well in hand, but I thought I would jump in, what the hell, it's a party right? I have a scrap of documentation you may want to look at, it will help determine if the print kit is installed. Also the point was brought up about pinging. Can you ping the copier? I always start there to establish basic communication between copier and network.

As Screwtape said,it is a boot rom type N that is required. If you cant ping then check to see if you have the N type boot rom.
