Imagerunner1730iF registration problems

Hi all!

I have an Imagerunner 1730iF that has really gone downhill in the last year. Copies have begun drifting from true page position making for very unueven margins, and front-to-back registration is impossible. This morning I made (single-sided) copies and the image is shifted to the right in excess of 1/4" resulting in cutting the image off at its edge.

I used to be able to fake it by manually positioning the original on the glass to compensate, but that doesn't work at all anymore.

Any ideas on what this issues might be? Many thanks for any insights.

You could try replacing that registration clutch. But there are two plastic pieces that apply pressure to the registration roller that break and cause those problems. There is one on either end of the transfer roller they just sound clip from the frame of the machine. There is a spring there they want to make sure you don’t lose.
