Canon c5550i dark copies and dark prints

Copies and prints are clean but blacks and colors are way too dark, so we did a full cleaning and ran Full Gradiation adjust and the copies were fine again. Fast forward 2 months 4 days later and the darker prints and copies returned again. Full Gradiation adjust resolved issue but not sure why the dark prints return after being stable for 2 months. Not sure what to replace to solve this issue. Any ideas what parts might cause this? Drums and all other parts are well within their life still. Nothing overdue for replacement.

Nope, only using oem. This customer runs a very successful chain of BBQ restaurants and is not afraid to spend $$$ for proper maintenance, oem parts and supplies, and never cuts corners by using the aftermarket crap.

This has happened a few times now.

      Symptom is always the same:

At AROUND THE 2 MONTH MARK COPY QUALITY DARKENS AND THEN CAN BE RESOLVED BY RUNNING A FULL GRADIATION ADJUSTMENT.

Thanks for responding though, appreciate it.

Probably the customer has the same model of the printer somewhere close. With a usb key make export-import from a working device. This will also restore the service mode settings. Update the latest firmware and clean the patch sensors.Nothing else comes to my mind.

Those patch sensors were the first thing I thought of also. They are clean. And the gradiation adjustments run correctly and do not fail. So I do not suspect an issue with those sensors. Thank you for the reply.

Things like that - only as a last resort when all else fails to help.
