Canon IR DX4745 scanning image registration varies (DADF-C1)

When scanning a 10 page document, 1 page in 10 will come through with a 1/2" additional margin on the left side of the page, the image has shifted to the right on the page and now is missing data on the right side of the page because it shifted the image off the right side of the document. The machine only has 20K scans on the machine and 24K total page count.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions!!

Reset machine to default value. If problem still, check hardware if any unnormal sound? clean all sensor on reader unit

Have had quite a few issues with DADF C1 skew and also shifting image recently, the issue seems to be the height of the doc feed. Use the screws at the back above the hinges to adjust the doc feed height to the correct level. Adjustment procedure is in the SM.
