Fixing unit issue on Canon MF428X

    Hi

We initially replaced a fixing unit in a Canon MF428X due to it having marks on it and therefore ordered a new one. However once fitted the copier makes a loudish sound coimg from the back so we assumed it was a faulty fuser. Ordered another one and same result! We put the original one back in and the sound isn't there so a weird one in our eyes

We've updated firmware, done a fixing unit clean but to no avail.

    Anyone have any ideas??

Thanks for the reply. We changed the fuser gear from the old to the new and the noise is slightly better but not really acceptable to us. Not really sure what else to do as we have changed 2 fusers with same result!?
