    5180 Cost per Copy

Im trying to cut the cost of doing repairs on the 5180 for my incentive program and I cant figure out how the national average is that low . Four Canon drums billed to me are $2000 dollars . $1200 for the fuser you cant rebuild. How does everybody else services theses any cheaper.

If you are not getting more than .075 for color and .011 for b/w i dont think you can make money on these machines.I know that the rebuilt fixing units are 850 but i am not so sure that they will go the same amount that the OEM fixing units go( if they go to life). If you have a problem with the rebuilt fixing units they take your case on a case-by-case basis.I have had to repair more than one "rebuilt" fixing unit to make the customer get running.

You are paying $500 for drums! They are ripping you off my friend. We charge at least 5 to 8 cent per color copy, b/w (.008),(.009).

Thanks guys . We use OEM drums and canon fuser units. So really the only way to make money is to use aftermarket drums and fuser units ?
